Landcruiser Mountain Park is at Jimna, 2 hours from Brisbane via Kilcoy.
The Park should be regarded as a wilderness area in every sense.
Facilities:
are basic. Nearest major township is Kilcoy 60kms away so it is important to bring everything you will need, including sufficient fuel, first aid kit, axe, shovel and tow rope.
(Motorcycles are NOT permitted)
Vehicle Access: 4WD and 2WD vehicles can access all the main camping areas with trailers and campervans.
Caravan & Camper Trailer Access: A new camping area designed for campling only with caravans and motorhomes has gas hot showers and toilets provided with handicap facilities.
On Arrival: Please drive to the office to collect your permit for the park. The office is adjacent to the entry road, 6 kms off the main Kilkoy-Murgon Road
Drinking Water: Visitors are advised to bring drinking water.
Supplies: The Park office carries drinks, ice, milk, bread, cigarettes, batteries and film. Other basic supplies can be replenished from Kilcoy-60 kms away. A Public Phone is
located at the office.
Camping:
- You may camp anywhere on the property
- Hot showers and septic toilets are provided at Cowah Falls, Trakka Terrace, The Gums and Fig Tree camping areas.
- There is ample firewood available throughout the Park. Please be careful with camp fires and ensure that fires are out when leaving the camp site.
Pets are allowed but must be kept under control to avoid disturbing other campers, cattle or wildlife.
PARK FEES from 1st July 2009 (payment required on arrival) All prices include GST.
Note: Fees are higher during some Special Events
4WD Vehicles
- $40 per vehicle for 24 hour stay
- $25 day trip per vehicle/extra day
- 6 to 7 nights camping $200
2 WD Vehicles
- Camping: $25 night per vehicle 24 hours stay
